What We Fight For.

I'm not here to tell you what to think, what is right or wrong, how you should feel about things, but what I am asking you to do is to turn of the news, think for yourself, search deep inside yourself. What's important to you? What do you value? Where do you see injustice in the world? Don't let pundits and politicians make these decisions for you, don't fall prey to brainwashing and don't be led to the slaughter.
Find what's important to you, and think on it. People today have lost the ability to think for themselves. So many of the ideas floating around are unoriginal and perpetuated by the ruling class. Stand up for what you believe in, and don't be afraid to die for your beliefs. Don't be swayed by what is popular or which way the momentum is shifting.
YOU and only you can know what's right for yourself, and no one in this world or any other can change that. Relish and bask in your thoughts. We all know what is right and wrong, and from this we should be able to conclude that a government that deprives its people of free thought is wrong. Stand against these injustices and abuses of power wherever they may appear, and others will come to your side. Above all be yourself, once you set your mind free the rest will follow.

This Is Your Police State.

The Greatest Generation That Ever Lived.

No it's not your Grandpa that stormed the beaches on D-Day. It's you and me, it's every person that's ever been screwed by the system. Every person that spent months in jail on a drug charge, or couldn't go to college because they couldn't afford it, it's every person that almost died because they waited until the last minute to go to the hospital because they didn't have insurance.
People, they root for this and that party, for the liberal or conservative movements. This is the saddest thing to see, a person fooled by the media or his government into zealously fighting directly against their own interests. It's every person that went to bed hungry at night, because their government thought it more important to fight for oil and lithium deposits, than to feed its people. For every person who had to come home and tell their family that they were going to lose their house, and then watched from an apartment as Congress spent trillions on saving a bank. For every person who paid their taxes, and watched them fund executive bonuses and such extravagances that most of us will never know. This is the greatest generation.
The American people are like German shepherds, you can try to train us, you may even kennel us, but fuck with us too many times, and we will rip your throat out. The only question is when.
When will we realize that the governments authority is NOT inherent? That governments power is derived from "the consent of those who are governed". How many times must we be spat on and kicked before it is too much?
This is the greatest generation. We will topple the tallest of giants, and the biggest monsters, and not because we are idealists that romanticize our philosophies, but because we were given no other options. The choice is simple it always has been. Either we fight for what we believe in, our we hand down to our children the same system which has betrayed us our entire lives. This is a call to arms brothers, and we will not fail.

Balanced Budget Amendment Problem

I think there's one big problem with the agenda the republicans in Congress are pushing. The problem I see with something like the Balanced Budget Amendment is what happens if we need to go to war? Whenever there has been a major conflict in the US, and you can go back and check, the debt has ballooned. So if we need to devote some serious money to national defense, then our hands would pretty much be tied with an amendment like this.

There is a time before every great society rises where people recognize their true oppressors and in unity have become fed up with the status quo. When the injustices of authority have become common and freedom has become a rarity that is when good men can no longer sit idly by and watch mad men burn the world down with their disregard for the human spirit. We live no doubt in complex times, and they will assuredly not become more simplistic, but this is why change can no longer be put off. For as long as anyone can remember politicians have been kicking issues down the road, applying band-aid fixes to problems on the scale of brain aneurysms. The truth is: we have reached the end of the road, we have left the road, walked down the pier, and we now stand at the edge of a great chasm. The choice before us however complex it may seem is in fact very simple. We can choose to make the same mistakes generations before us have, and we will watch our great society crumble, we will witness all the things we cherish and honor vanish from our sight. Or another choice: we can bite the bullet, and defend freedom from those who seek to vanquish and its promoters.
