Balanced Budget Amendment Problem

I think there's one big problem with the agenda the republicans in Congress are pushing. The problem I see with something like the Balanced Budget Amendment is what happens if we need to go to war? Whenever there has been a major conflict in the US, and you can go back and check, the debt has ballooned. So if we need to devote some serious money to national defense, then our hands would pretty much be tied with an amendment like this.

  2. Maybe it's time the USA spend some time and money on improving their own country rather than going on war at the other side of the world for "world peace". Nice post mate, keep it up

  4. If you cut the US's defense budget in half, it would still be three times larger than the closest country (China)'s defense budget. I think we're alright when it comes to setting aside money for war. The US needs to take a break from war if it hopes to recover.

  5. The US Dollar, soon will lose its AAA status. Nothing can prevent it at this point. Only thing to do is wait.

  7. Well if they weren't all "Oh we need to show the world our strength" then maybe if they focus on there own country instead of others they can lower their debt!

  8. Don't we spend enough on defense? Democrats are just as wasteful as most conservatives. The budget NEEDS to be balanced.. can't keep making money out of thin air, increasing the debt.. that is making the dollar worthless.
